Blue Penny Museum

Highly recommended
The museum's name is no mistake, and it does indeed have on display some exceptional old stamps (including the famous 1847 Post Office). We can't recommend highly enough a visit to the Blue Penny Museum for its wonderful collections illustrating the history of Mauritius and its capital through engravings, maps, photographs and paintings. A trip back in time, from the island's discovery to the present day, evoking along the way the legend of Paul and Virginie.
