Horton Grand Hotel

Interesting
Regal bay windows front San Diego's oldest Victorian-era hotel (1886), named after influential developer Alonzo Horton. Restored in 1981, the structure combines two hotels that were dismantled from their original sites in the downtown area and relocated here: the original Horton Grand and the Brooklyn Hotel. A lovely atrium connects the two structures, which feature original bay windows, balconies and wrought-iron ornamentation. Inside are 132 guest rooms, including 24 suites; a restaurant; and a piano bar.
