Haymarket

Haymarket is a lively, colorful outdoor marketplace of fish sellers and purveyors of fresh flowers and produce. Located near Faneuil Hall Marketplace, and a hop and a skip from the North End-Boston's "Little Italy"-the Haymarket is a Friday-and-Saturday-only shopping event. Assertive vendors offer bargains that get better as the day progresses. Like many a good marketplace, there's no official opening or closing time, although the action generally starts around 6:30am (best time to find parking as well) and goes until everything is gone. The produce is better earlier (vendors will yell at you if you pick and choose-this is strictly "'grab-and-go" shopping!), but the prices are cheaper later.
