Rebecca Nurse Homestead

Rebecca Nurse, a victim of the Salem witch-hunts, lived in this saltbox house (c.1678). Accused of being a witch, Rebecca was tried, convicted and hanged, despite a petition in her favor that had been signed by many of the townspeople. A short walk from the house leads to the Nurse Burial Ground, where a monument marks Rebecca's presumed grave.
