Le Souffleur Beach

This long sandy beach a is pleasant spot that caters nicely for children and has numerous sheltered areas for picnics. Its name ("souffleur" meaning "blower") refers both to the winds and the whales, which pass offshore between January and March. However, it should be borne in mind that the place is invaded by "yen yen" towards the end of the day: tiny, voracious mosquitos that could put paid to plans to stay and watch the sun go down.
