Tequisquiapan is a really enjoyable stopover between the capital and Querétaro. Located at an altitude of 1 880m, it is a very popular holiday destination forChilangos (Mexico City's inhabitants) due to its hot springs and climate. The village is almost too polished - like a postcard image with its pretty, flower-filled and paved little streets, brightly coloured old houses and improvised Indian crafts market under the arcades of its small squares.
