Charlottenburg Palace

Recommended
Schloss Charlottenburg, the summer residence of the Hohenzollern, is one of the most beautiful buildings in Berlin, with Baroque and Rococo apartments surrounded by magnificent gardens. In the Altes Schloss, don't miss the Porcelain Room, the chapel, and the old apartments of Frederick William IV (note the Crown Prince's tableware). Also interesting is the Neuer Flügel (new wing) with its Golden Gallery, collection of 18C French paintings (Watteau) and Japanese bedroom decorated in late 18C Japanese style.
