Friesach The Essential
Interesting
Friesach, Carinthia's oldest town, is particularly appealing with its three ruined castles, churches and fortifications. Its main square is lined with fine houses and features a beautiful fountain, produced by Italian sculptors in 1563. St Nikolaus von Myra, Carinthia's largest church, St Blasius with its magnificent high altar, as well as the Petersberg and its local museum, are worth visiting.
