Kitzbühel The Essential
The little town of Kitzbühel dates back to the Middle Ages. It has become one of the great Alpine ski resorts which, despite its international reputation, has managed to preserve its environment. It is famous for the Streif ski slope, one of the World Cup's most testing downhill ski runs, but is also a leisure skiing paradise, with long, gentle runs through pine forests. Its old town centre has retained a lot of charm, while offering varied leisure activities.
