Hietzing

Hietzig, Vienna's most stylish district, became fashionable in the late 19C. It is not far from Schönbrunn park and has been home to many industrialists and artists such as Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt. The district has been linked to many historical events. For example, the Dommayer where J. Strauss the Younger conducted his first concert in 1844, causing a clash with his father. Look at the villas tucked away in these quiet streets where all sorts modern architectural styles can be seen.
