St Michael's Square

Interesting
Michaelerplatz, or St Michael's Square, gives onto the Hofburg's Michaelertrakt (St Michael's Wing), with its curved façade, dominated by its famous dome. The building is opposite the Looshaus (1911), decorated with two monumental fountains, and the church (Michaelerkirche), sanctuary of the Court. At no 2, Griensteidl, a famous early-20C literary café, is still a great institution.
