Stadtpark

The Stadtpark, with the small River Vienna running through it to join the Danube, was laid out on the site of the old fortifications replaced by the Ring. Its charming atmosphere, enhanced at night with illuminated fountains, makes an ideal setting for the statues of the painters and musicians erected here. A tourist favourite is the statue of Johann Strauss the Younger.
