Votivkirche

Commissioned by Maximilian after an assassination attempt against his brother Franz Joseph in 1853, the neo-Gothic Votivkirche (or Votive Church) has steeples with an openwork design. Inside are two Renaissance works, the recumbent figure of Count Salm (1530) and the so-called Antwerp retable (15C).
