Mont St-Amand

In 1874, this convent succeeded the old St Elizabeth Beguine convent, after which it was named. It is a huge enclosure with the traditional layout of Beguine convents huddled around the neo-Gothic church. A few nuns still live here and a museum gives an insight into their way of life.
