Aarschot The Essential
Aarschot is a small Hageland industrial town on the banks of the Demer, overlooked by its collegiate church tower. It was pillaged and left in ruins in the 16C, 18C and during both World Wars, but has always risen from the ashes. P.-J. Verhaegen, who continued the work of the 17C masters, was born here in 1782.
