Sint Pieterskerk of Louvain

Interesting
This 15C Brabant Gothic church was intended to have three towers but remained unfinished on account of unstable ground. The interior is outstanding because of the pure lines of the Gothic nave, with huge pillars rising to the vault in a single sweep. In front of the chancel are the delicate arches of the rood screen (1499), surmounted by a wooden Christ. The church has a remarkable treasury of museum-quality religious art.
