Our Lady Church

This church (18C) houses marble sculptures from the Cistercian Herkenrode Abbey, which was founded in the 12C, closed down in 1797 then bombed during the Second World War. The black and white marble high altar and statues of St Bernard and the Virgin Mary are by J Delcour. The transept abbess mausoleums are by Artus Quellin the Younger (on the right) Willem Kerricx the Young (left). The chancel boasts a 14C polychrome statue.
