François Duesberg Decorative Arts Museum

Recommended
It houses a fine collection clocks with exotic subjects (1795-1815) made by the best Parisian engravers and casters. Ten different trades were involved in the manufacture of these timepieces of patinated (black) or gilded bronze. Note the lovely Paul and Virginie clock, said to have been commissioned in 1802 by Bonaparte for the writer Bernardin de Saint-Pierre. There are also exceptional gilded bronzes, porcelain, faiences, paintings and jewellery.
