Place St-Lambert

This square is the historical birthplace of Liège. St Lambert's Cathedral used to stand here, but was destroyed during the French Revolution. Excavations have uncovered its remains dating back to the period of Bishop Notger (10C); they can be seen in the Archéoforum.
