Sozopol The Essential
Interesting
A rocky peninsula linked to the mainland by a narrow isthmus: this is the delightful setting of Sozopol, occupied by man for the past 27 centuries. The town, which is the main Bulgarian fishing port on the Black Sea, is one of the most visited cities in the area. And, indeed, there are excellent reasons for this: Sozopol has many assets. In addition to its sand beaches, the city boasts charming cobbled streets lined with wooden houses and tiny churches...and then there is the sea, whichever way you turn, it is there, sometimes friendly, sometimes rough, its rollers breaking on the rocks. There is no doubt about it, it is fascinating...
