Mary of Romania's palace

Interesting
The palace of Mary of Romania (who died in 1938) is in fact a very large villa on several levels. Standing alongside the (artificial) beach, it comprises a traditional Balkan house, an Orthodox cupola (above the bathroom), a kind of minaret and rooms which reflect architectural features from various civilisations. The interior contains sepia photos of the queen and houses temporary exhibitions of contemporary art. The gardens form the sumptuous setting of a festival at the beginning of June.
