Chapel of St Mary Formosa

Interesting
This small early Christian chapel is one of the few remains of the basilica of the same name (formosa referred to the beauty of the decoration) built here around 566. In the form of a cross, it is simple and moving; it was decorated with superb mosaics, fragments of which can be seen in the archaeological museum.
