St Stephen's Cathedral

Recommended
The campanile and the façade of this cathedral are typical of the Dalmatian Renaissance style. The interior however is resolutely Baroque. Admire the two 15C bas-reliefs on the lower left side and the succession of altars (the most interesting are those of the Hektorovib family (lower right-hand side) framing a 13C Madonna and the main altar). Note the carved wooden stalls in the chancel (1572), and the rather frightening mummy (relics of the Croatian saint, Prosper) in a glass sarcophagus.
