Catherine Zrinski Square

Interesting
This rectangular square is a tribute to the sister of Krsto Frankopan, wife of Petar Zrinski and poet, who retired to an Italian convent after her husband's execution in 1671. The square is home to the Museum of Broken Relationships, situated on the corner of Kulmer palace, and Dverce palace, built in the early 18C and reworked in a historicist style and now used to accommodate the town's distinguished guests. Also note the akademia, Zagreb's first secondary school (1607) and the lovely church of St Catherine.
