Copenhagen National Museum

Highly recommended
Housed in the Prince's Palace (1774), across the Marble Bridge from Christiansborg, the Copenhagen National Museum has been extended several times and a modern, spacious building with a grandiose foyer has been added. The departments are spread over three floors and there is a children's area. The museum regularly organises temporary exhibitions, and the permanent collection presents the history of Denmark through its successive objects and cultures.
