Nordatlantens Brygge - North Atlantic House

The old centre for trade with Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Iceland, built in 1767, was superbly restored in 2003. This enormous building has many functions: diplomatic representations from Greenland and the Faroe Islands, and the Icelandic embassy are based here, as are several organisations in connection with the people of these islands and their tourist offices. Exhibitions of work by artists from the North Atlantic region are organised on the ground floor, and in the foyer is a small shop selling arts and crafts and books. Facing the canal, opposite the opera house, is the famous Noma. Crowned Best Restaurant in the World by the British magazine Restaurant Magazine from 2010 to 2012, it gets booked up several months in advance...
