Den Gamle By is in parkland along Viborgvej in the western part of Aarhus. It is one of the most picturesque and beautiful open-air museums in Denmark. Old houses and buildings from towns across the country, dating from the 17C to the 19C, have been carefully reconstructed here, with not a single detail overlooked. These include workshops, a school, a chemist's, a baker's, a post office, the mayor's residence and a tannery. A delightful stroll down memory lane.
