South Denmark
Kolding
Kolding The Essential
This town extends along both banks of the River Kolding, which runs into the Kolding Fjord. Overlooked by its castle on a hill, this dynamic industrial centre has retained the atmosphere of a medieval town, with picturesque cobbled streets and gabled houses, such as Borchs Gård. Of particular interest are the Fine Arts Museum, with its fine collection of Danish furniture, and the Geographical Garden, which is home to more than 2,000 plant species from around the world.
