Church of the Carmel

Interesting
The relatively simple façade of this church, built between the 16C and 17C, gives no clue as to the Baroque exuberance within. The nave, laid out beneath a Mudéjar artesonado ceiling, is covered with an abundance of polychrome stuccos. The church's fine 18C raw wood retable by Antonio Primo has been preserved and stands on the main altar, with a recess decorated with paintings in its centre.
