Musée Alsacien

Recommended
This museum of popular arts occupies three 16C-17C houses that are worth a visit in their own right. A maze of staircases and wooden galleries around the inner courtyards leads to numerous small rooms housing collections of clothing, images and toys, as well as various reconstructions of typical Alsation interiors, such as the laboratory of an apothecary/alchemist and a Stube-style dining room with its characteristic cosy atmosphere.
