Ste-Croix Church

Interesting
Some capitals of the Romanesque portal of the Sainte Croix church are decorated with pelicans and two-tailed mermaids, a motif of Lombard inspiration. Inside, the nave is dominated by a huge 15C Calvary, whose figure of Christ is some 4.25m/13ft high. Admire the magnificent altarpiece by Jean Bongart (1518) depicting the Crucifixion and scenes from the Passion on 14 carved panels. The northern lower side of the church houses a 1514 Holy Sepulchre by Jacques Wirt.
