Écomusée d'Alsace

Recommended
The open-air eco-museum of Alsace, France's largest open-air museum, was inspired by the desire to preserve houses from the 15C to the 19C, bound for destruction. They were painstakingly taken down and rebuilt here. The museum has since broadened its horizons to include 19C and 20C architecture. The village's roads, shops, station and school, even the people's houses, are all open to the public. Discover the workshops and shows put on by craftsmen, eager to share their know-how and passion.
