Château de Fénelon

Interesting
Built on a hillock overlooking the Dordogne, Fénelon Castle, whose foundations date back to the 14C and main buildings to the 17C, has been restored to its former glory. Admire its three surrounding walls, its residential buildings and towers covered in stone tiles, as well as the beautiful double staircase. The interior charts the history of furniture from the Middle Ages to the Empire. Note in particular the fine collection of weapons (15C-18C) and the tapestries evoking Fénelon's work.
