Saint-Émilion The Essential
Recommended
If you go to St Emilion to enjoy the wine (and enjoy it you surely will), you will realise that it is also a beautiful place. It is one of Aquitaine's finest medieval towns with pale stone buildings, small squares and alleyways. Set in a remarkably well-preserved landscape of vineyards, it shares with the neighbouring towns the pride of being designated a Unesco World Heritage Site, as a "cultural landscape".
