Place Aristide-Briand

This square is home to the Hôtel de la Bélinaye, the birthplace of Armand Taffin de la Rouërie (1751-1793), an adventurer and general in the American army during the War of Independence who returned to France when the French Revolution broke out and started the local counter-revolutionary movement.
