Kernascléden The Essential
Located in the centre of the Pourlet region, this Breton village is primarily known for its magnificent church. Built by the Rohan family, it was consecrated in 1453. It is said that the same workers built the St Fiacre du Faoüet chapel thirty years later; angels are supposed to have carried the masons and their tools between the two sites. The word Ker certainly means "town" or "village", while the rest appears to be derived from the name of a local lord.
