Lorient The Essential
Interesting
This port for the Far East subsquently became a naval harbour. Progressively both these activities ceased, and now they are restoring the appearance of a maritime port to Lorient as the town turns to tourism. Already the Interceltic Festival attracts more and more adherents. The town was reconstructed after the Second World War, making it a treasure trove of 1950s and 1960s architecture.
