Rue des Forges

Interesting
This is one of the city's oldest and most characteristic streets. At nos 52-56, the Hôtel Morel-Sauvegrain, which once belonged to Charles the Bold's nurse, has a 15C façade. At no 40, the classical doorway of the Hôtel Auriot contrasts with the elegant arcaded façade. At no 38, Maison Milsand offers a splendidly ornate façade, said to be the work of Hugues Sambin. In an interior courtyard at no 34, the 15C Hôtel Chambellan has an extremely fine staircase.
