Estève Museum

Recommended
This Flamboyant Gothic building (15C-17C) offers an exceptional setting to the collection donated by contemporary painter Maurice Estève (1904-2001), creator of an exacting body of work. Born in Culan, this master of colour first dabbled with Surrealism, then oscillated for a long time between Figurative (La Toilette verte, 1934) and Abstract (Embarquement pour Cythère, 1929), before settling on the latter. The museum has around 200 of his works, exhibited in rotation.
