Château de Montpoupon stands tall and proud. It has retained its 13C towers and 15C main building, a few rooms of which are open to the public, including the "Marshal's quarters". The outbuildings also offer a valuable historical insight into the 19C with their reconstructed apartments, typical kitchen and linen room. Most importantly, they are home to the Musée du Veneur, a museum dedicated to gentlemen hunters. Various aspects of hunting are explored: maintenance of forests, breeding, and professions relating to hunting. In the stables you will find horse-drawn carriages and old saddlery.
