Château du Rivau

Interesting
This proud castle was first built in the 13C and fortified in the 15C by Pierre de Beauvau, Charles VII's chamberlain. It retains its dry moat, drawbridge, keep and garret. The building's harmonious proportions herald the arrival of the Renaissance. Its fairytale-themed gardens imaginatively blend historical references and modernity.
