Place Ducale

Recommended
This is the twin of the Place des Vosges in Paris. The same love of geometric order, stone-clad brick pavilions and arcades... it was, after all, designed by Clément Metezeau (1581-1652), whose brother Louis is said to have created the one in Paris. Many of its restored pavilions once again have their bull's-eye windows and Louis XIII ornamental façades and the fountain has been restored to the middle of the square.
