Rue de la République

This lively busy street is typical of the intended plan of the founder of Charleville, Charles de Gonzague: identical buildings containing two apartments under a huge slate roof, businesses installed on the ground floor either side of the common door. You can also see other houses of this type in the Rue du Moulin.
