Its gabled- roofed houses are lose together that a cat can easily jump from one rooftop to another. This road has a totally medieval atmosphere. Notice the stone posts at the entrance to prevent wagons from hitting the walls, Like most of the other streets, it was closed with a portcullis in the evening. When it widens, it becomes Rue des Chats. Access is by an alley on the left of the Mortier d'Or courtyard, a beautiful reconstruction with old elements.
