Grounds of the Palace of Versailles

Highly recommended
Starting at the terrace of the Palace of Versailles, you can explore the grounds on foot, by horse-drawn carriage, the little train or in a small boat on the Grand Canal. The Axe du Soleil, with its water parterre, fountains, statues, the Bassin de Latone and the Tapis Vert divide the grounds. On both sides, the copses bring a touch of magic: ponds, colonnades, water jets, groups of sculptures, flowerbeds and pathways lined by canals. Enough to fill a whole day! Don't miss the Grandes Eaux water show.
