This pretty village on the borders of the Corrèze and the Dordogne is a medieval gem, with ramparts, proud castles (14C-16C) and "noblemen's houses" with their flat terracotta and slate-tiled roofs. Visible from afar, this quiet town looks out over the sloping vineyards of Branceilles. It was here that, during the Second World War, Colette wrote her famous Journal à Rebours.
