Lac d'Oô

Just an hour's walk away, the Lac d'Oô lies in a magnificent setting at an altitude of 1 504m, making this a popular walk in the Pyrenees. At the end of the lake, a stream from the Lac d'Espingo forms a 275m-high waterfall. The name Oô comes from the Gascon iu or eu, meaning "high mountain lake". The lake feeds the Oô hydroelectric power station.
