Espace Ste-Bernadette

From the basilicas in Lourdes, two bridges lead to the meadow on the right bank of the Gave where Bernadette was said to have had her last vision of the Virgin Mary. The Espace Sainte-Bernadette (with a capacity for 4,000 visitors) was built here in 1988, comprising the church of the same name and the Hemicycle, which hosts the annual plenary assembly of French bishops.
