St Gausbert Chapel

Interesting
Built around 1500 on the site of the former chapter house, the Saint-Gausbert chapel boasts a highly decorative vaulted ceiling with diagonal and tertiary ribs that frame its painted internal segments. A large Last Judgement adorns the west wall. The chapel also houses the cathedral treasury. The cloister door leads to the inner courtyard of the former archdeaconry of St Jean, with its interesting Renaissance decoration and one of the most delightful secret gardens in Cahors.
