St John's Barbican and tower

Interesting
An elegant guard house which used to protect the Barre gate, the Barbican with St John's Tower, built on a rock looking over the river and today called the « Hanging tower» is one of the last remnants of the Ramparts which used to close off the Lot isthmus entirely.
